DigiTunnel 1.2 is compatible with Mac OS X 10.2 (Jaguar) only. For Mac OS X 10.3 (Panther), upgrade to DigiTunnel 1.4.

DigiTunnel 1.1 users: If DigiTunnel is working fine for you, you do not have to upgrade to 1.2--most improvements apply to new users and servers. However, please note that since Jaguar 10.2.3, DigiTunnel 1.1 has not been able to apply settings changes without restarting the Mac.

Only for certain PPTP VPN servers: Windows 2000, NT 4, OS X Server 10.2, and Watchguard Firebox servers are supported, but many other servers are not. If you are trying to connect to an incompatible server, such as an IPSec-only or L2PT-only server, or certain PPTP servers, this product is not for you. See our compatibility list.

DigiTunnel has significant features not found in Jaguar's VPN client. They include: a status/control menu to connect without opening a separate program, multiple configurations, and our unique split-routing feature that lets you connect directly to all Internet sites even while on the VPN.

DAVE supports DigiTunnel! DAVE 4.0.2 or later is required to use DAVE with DigiTunnel.

Downloading and installing

1. To download, click the link at left under the icon.

If you have a download "enhancer" such as Speed Download, you may not be able to open the dowloaded file. Such products may not be compatible with our Macintosh, fiber-connected main servers.

If the file does not uncompress automatically, drag it to Stuffit Expander (or other gzip utility such as PackUpAndGo).

Note: If the name of your download folder contains any special characters, such as "!", the installer may not work. Move it to a folder (such as your Desktop) that doesn't have special characters in the name. (None of the folders that contain your download folder may have special characters either.)

2. Quit System Preferences and close any open VPN connection.

3. Open "Install DigiTunnel 1.2" Follow on-screen instructions. An administrator password is required. Allow a few extra seconds for installing--there are several modules to install and launch.

4. After the installer is finished, DigiTunnel Setup Assistant opens. Follow on-screen instructions (only for new installs).

5. To connect, use the Control/Status menu (in the menubar at right).
